Message from the Vice Chancellor

Date: 5 January 2026

Vice-Chancellor’s New Year Message – 2026
Dear University Council, Senate, faculty members and staff, cherished students, esteemed alumni, valued sponsors, and partners,

As we step into the new year 2026 and the new academic semester, our hearts are filled with gratitude to God, who has guided us, sustained us, and granted us wisdom through every challenge. As Scripture reminds us, “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning” (Lamentations 3:22–23). Truly, “it is in Him we live, move, and have our being” (Acts 17:28).

This year marks a defining phase in the management and growth of our beloved institution. As a young university in Kenya, we carry the noble responsibility of remaining trailblazers in the academic community. Aristotle wisely said, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” Let us each commit ourselves to giving our best toward the development of Consolata International University—for ourselves, and for generations yet to come.

I salute all who have worked tirelessly to support the University’s mission—faculty, staff, students, research and development partners, and the Government. I urge everyone to continue striving for excellence. As Immanuel Kant reminds us, “Science is organized knowledge. Wisdom is organized life.” May every action we take reflect wisdom, integrity, and dedication, leaving no room for mediocrity.

Our vision remains steadfast: to foster a culture that promotes research, teaching and learning, administration, and community engagement—driven by technology and anchored in humanism. Management is committed to providing a conducive academic and work environment where every member of our community can thrive.

I am also pleased to share that this year we shall make part of the space near the old gate available to the staff of Brookhouse School for their parking, as a gesture of goodwill and community partnership.

As we journey through 2026, let us dedicate ourselves to the service, growth, and excellence of Consolata International University. With our collective effort, we will shine as a beacon of knowledge, virtue, and innovation in Kenya and across the globe.

I wish you all a prosperous New Year, filled with hope, wisdom, and abundant blessings.

With warm regards,
Fr. Dr. James Kabata OFMConv
