Welcome to the School of Counselling Psychology
At CIU, psychology is both science and vocation — a journey that shapes the mind, heart and spirit. We train professionals who are deeply reflective, ethically grounded, and dedicated to service in every human encounter. Whether your calling is to clinical practice, school counselling, parish ministry, or community development, our programmes will form you to listen well, think clearly and care deeply.
Counselling psychology stands at the intersection of disciplined science and human tenderness. To do it well requires the rigour of research and evidence, the patience of mentorship and supervision, and the moral seriousness that takes every person's story as sacred. That is the kind of formation we offer here, and it is the standard we hold ourselves to every day.
Forming Reflective Practitioners
Our curriculum integrates psychological theory, supervised practice, faith integration, and ethical formation. Small classes, dedicated mentorship, and opportunities for placement ensure that every graduate leaves CIU as a competent, confident, and compassionate counselling psychologist ready for professional practice aligned with the Counsellors & Psychologists Act (2014).
